Rusting and care information
This steel garden sculpture set is supplied in its original unrusted state, giving you the choice to leave the bees outdoors to develop a natural rusted finish or to paint or seal them if you prefer to keep the bare steel look.
Please note: if you wish to keep your bees in their unrusted state, apply a suitable metal paint or sealant protection to the bare steel and keep them in a very dry location.
When exposed to British weather, the surface will begin to rust naturally. You can speed up the process by lightly spraying the sculptures with water every few days, or by applying a diluted mixture of 1 part household vinegar to 20 parts water. The rust forms on the surface of the steel, creating the distinctive rustic garden art finish.

We aim to have most of our dispatched within 5-7 working days, but due to the nature of some of our products being made to order and also being hand made by craftspeople it can sometimes take a few days more on certain items. Please note on all pebbles and slate items the turn around time is 10-14 days.

Although hand making something may take that extra day or two longer than buying something imported and sitting in a warehouse we feel the quality and uniqueness of the product will far outweigh that extra couple of sleeps!
