Installation guidance

To install, position the pointed branch end against a suitable tree trunk or wooden post and tap gently until secure. For harder wood, a small pre-drilled hole may be needed. Do not hammer the sculpture too hard, as this may bend the steel; gentle taps are recommended.

Rusting and care information

Our steel garden sculptures are supplied in their original bare steel form. This gives you the choice to leave the sculpture outside so it naturally develops a rustic finish, or to paint or seal it if you prefer to keep it looking un-rusted.

Please note: if you wish to keep your sculpture in its original un-rusted state, apply a suitable metal paint or sealant protection to the bare steel and keep it in a very dry location.

When exposed to British weather, the surface will begin to rust naturally. You can speed up the process by lightly spraying the sculpture with water every few days, or by applying a diluted mixture of 1 part household vinegar to 20 parts water. The rust forms on the surface of the steel, creating the distinctive weathered garden art finish.
