Rusting and care information
This steel garden sculpture is supplied in its original unrusted state, giving you the choice to leave it outdoors to develop a natural rusted finish or to paint or seal it if you prefer to keep the bare steel look.
Please note: if you wish to keep your sculpture in its unrusted state, apply a suitable metal paint, sealant or matt lacquer to the bare steel and keep it in a very dry location.
When exposed to British weather, the surface will begin to rust naturally. You can speed up the process by lightly spraying the sculpture with water every few days, or by applying a diluted mixture of 1 part household vinegar to 20 parts water. The rust forms on the surface of the steel, creating the distinctive rustic garden art finish.

We aim to have most of our dispatched within 5-7 working days, but due to the nature of some of our products being made to order and also being hand made by craftspeople it can sometimes take a few days more on certain items.
